Summary

Coming out into the South Transept, we see a plaque under the Peck window (West Wall) that states that its fragments of coloured glass were "preserved from the wreckage of windows destroyed in an air raid over the city on the 6th March 1916". This was one of several Zeppelin raids which caused damage around the Minster.

The sepia photograph above shows the devastation surrounding Hull Minster following a Zeppelin raid.
