Canon Francis Sedgwick (1872-1941) of St Philip’s, George St. (formerly Charlotte St.), was killed in his church in one of the worst nights of the Hull Blitz.

The church ruins were later demolished. The plaque is by Robert ‘Mousey’ Thompson of Kilburn. Although difficult to see from ground level, a little mouse is running along the top left of the plaque!
