This coffin plate was found at Trinity Burial Ground, Castle Street. It is made of tin and was originally painted black. The tin can be seen in patches where the black paint has come off.

There is an indication of a sunburst pattern at the top of the coffin plate, with shining rays coming from the top. this plate would have been bright and shiny when it was new.
