Description

Cracked blue marble ledger commemorating Alderman and Mayor Anthony Lambert snr and his grand-daughter Ann Mason (sister of the vicar Rev William Mason, and aunt of the poet and garden designer, also William). Anthony Lambert's inscription is carved in low relief capitals in a border around the edge of the stone; Ann Mason's is incised, upper and lower case, within the upper part of the central portion.

The "monument above" mentioned in Anthony Lambert's inscription is the wall-plaque (ID 49).
