Each engraving is protected by a tracing sheet but a reverse imprint of the engraving is becoming clear on every sheet. Engravings are not uniformly distributed throughout the book. There are also maps in the book e.g a map of Egypt and the Sinai peninsula.
There is a water mark damage on the bottom edge of the book, some limited foxing to pages. There are no finger prints, usage marks in the volume, suggesting very limted or very careful use. The bindings are worn at the corners. There are no repairs evident.
