Description

Large stone with widespread areas of surface pitting and abrasion; the incised inscription has lost much of its white filling. The R hand side is covered by the carpet, the L by choir stalls. The inscription commemorates merchant and Mayor Andrew Hollingworth (1769-1813), his widow Isabella (née Bromby; 1775-1843), and four of their children: Isabella jnr (1794-1812), Edward (1803-1821), Anne (1799-1822), and Andrew jnr (1797-1823). Andrew snr also has a wall tablet (ID: 13; NADFAS: 1013).

There are widespread areas of surface pitting and abrasion; the incised inscription has lost much of its white filling. NADFAS (1986) described it as in a "fair" condition then, but it has now lost a lot of surface finish and is losing legibility.
