Description

Somewhat worn black slate, with elegant inscription, which has lost much of its white filling. It commemorates Dr Marmaduke Prickett (1724-53), a Cambridge and Leyden-educated physician who practised in Hull.

Some surface wear and pitting, especially to upper part and L hand side of stone. Inscription has lost much/most of white composition filling. Subject to footfall, furniture scuffing and abrasion/staining.
